Diamond Platnumz’s Wasafi Records is in the advanced stages of signing Aslay who used to be in the same music group with Mbosso.

Wasafi top boss Mkubwa Fella, who used to manage Aslay back when he was a member of the defunct Yamoto Band, revealed the plan by WCB to sign the ‘Naenda Kusema’ hitmaker.

Speaking during an interview on Wasafi FM, Fella revealed that there are ambitious plans to sign Aslay to the biggest record label in the East African region.

The statement by Mkubwa Fella, who raised Aslay from a young age until he came to lead the Yamoto band group and finally disbanded, comes just a few months after Aslay denied rumors of joining WCB Wasafi.

In an interview on Clouds FM’s Amplifaya program with Millard Ayo three months ago, Aslay denied the existence of the rumours, saying that unfortunately he will now join South Africa’s Rockstar label and has no plans to join Wasafi.

Aslay nonetheless admitted that he was ready to work with any artiste even Diamond himself.
