Shanah Manjeru is 10 years old, born on 30 March 2008, in Nairobi, Kenya. She is the last born in the family, with her siblings being first born brother and second born sister. Shanah has a powerful voice, and sings to all kinds of audiences with conviction, confidence and passion.
In October 2017, Shanah, at 9 years old, released her debut music single and video called ‘Destiny’, followed later in February 2018 with her second music release, ‘We Are One’, then followed closely in April 2018 with her third music release, ‘Winner’.
Still at 10 years old, her fourth music release will be released in December 2018.
Her Winner song won the Song of the Year Award during the Kenya Gospel Music Award 2018. The Winner song has also played many times at number one on the #XFMWeeklyTop30 show on XFM105.5FM.
Shanah has performed at several events, including birthday parties, school events, churches, concerts, at a wedding for a bride, on television Sunday gospel shows, during television and radio interviews, and during Churchill Live and Churchill Kids Festivals.
Shanah has also participated in several music competitions and won. She is the host of a children’s TV show, and has also been featured in an Aladdin TV commercial, a documentary on Kenya`s Vision 2030 and a tour and travel piece by BBC.
When she grows up Shanah says she wants to be either a doctor, a singer, a dancer, a gymnast, or a teacher. Only God knows the plans He has for her, but one thing is certain, music will always be a big part of her life.
