Jay A real name Ali Juma made his debut in the music industry five years ago and in less than six months after his debut, he had immediately cut a niche for himself in the Music Industry in Kenya, with a phenomenal growth releasing one hit after another. His songs soon started circulating on Channel O the Premier Television Music Channel in Africa and also on MTV Base.
Jay A music talent soon drew the attention of some of the long-established Musicians in Kenya who invited him to feature in their songs, amongst them was STL a lady singer who has made a name for herself in Europe with a base in Norway.
Jay A has recorded over 14 songs and released twelve videos so far that have all made the A-list. His major hit song Dumbala was for years trending as one of the hottest songs in Kenya and the region and continues to receive massive Airplay from all the top Radio and television stations in Kenya and the region. Jay has also featured in major hits, one of them Ligi Soo which featured Ten top artists in Kenya, and where Jay A was given the honors to sing the first verse, was at time trending as the most sort out item on the Internet in Kenya. Jay A also featured prominently in Dj Nruff”s song ‘Doing it Right’ STL’s song ‘STELLA STELLA STELLA’, and the Remix of Octopizo’s ‘Bila Mike’.
Jay A has also featured in many prime radio and television talk and entertainment shows in Kenya.
