Raila Odinga has today visited various towns within Kakamega County to drum up support ahead of the 2017 election.
But Raila’s visit in Kakamega was not without drama, pro-Jubilee supporters carrying placards written ‘Lipa Deni ya Mumias’ threatened to disrupt Raila’s rally in Shianda, Mumias.
There was chaos in Shianda Market as the jubilee supporters clashed with ODM youth during Raila rally in the area.
Police quickly intervened and used teargas to disperse the rowdy youth who were demanding Raila to pay up the money he allegedly owed the troubled Mumias Sugar Company.
