The incumbent Machakos Governor, Dr. Alfred Mutua wants fellow politicians in the country to respect and give their respects to the ODM party leader, Raila Odinga.
The outspoken politician and the Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader, Dr. Mutua says that Raila Odinga deserves respect coming from at least all the politicians in the country.
The governor who changed the Machakos county for the better and currently serving his second and last term as the governor also hinted that Raila Odinga is going to vie for the Presidential seat in 2022.
“It is baffling and to all purposes an indication of cognitive dissonance that some highly opportunistic leaders who were not party to the handshake and who have benefited from the handshake are asking Raila Odinga to forgo the handshake benefits in their favour. Talk of hyenas waiting for the spoils after the hunt.
Raila Odinga is one of my competitors in my quest to be the next President, however, I have to respect him and give him his due and not try to use his efforts for self-benefit as others are doing,” Dr. Alfred Mutua’s statement read.
Raila Odinga hasn’t made it official yet that he will be the ODM flag bearer for the upcoming presidential elections.
