Taj Mall demolished Air gate demolished

Taj Mall is currently getting demolished by SANY in Embakasi.

Nairobi County promised to demolish illegal buildings encroaching on public land with South End Mall, Shell Petrol Station in Kileleshwa, Java House, as well as a section of Oshwal Centre in Parklands being part
of the demolished buildings under the State’s watch.

Speaking to Capital FM News, Stephen Gikonyo who is a Member of County Assembly of Pipeline, “The service lane we have at the moment is not wide enough and that is because of this building. Motorists have to go round all the way to General Motors on Mombasa Road for them to make a turn,”

Tenants at Taj Mall were then given two weeks to vacate the premises, a notice that lapsed on August 31.

Last month, Rameshchandra Govind Gorasia allegedly dared the government to demolish his building insisting that he would stay put.
