Men carrying their women’s handbags is a new trend, and we keep seeing it happen.

Matching his and hers handbags is a new trend among couples. Fashionistas say this trend is practical as well as stylish.

“it allows couples to share their belongings without having to carry two separate bags.

This trend is also convenient for couples who travel together often.

They can keep their belongings like phones, wallets and cash in one bag,” says Diana, a resident of Nairobi’s Kileleshwa estate.

In many parts of Africa, it is not uncommon for men to carry their women’s bags for them.

For the very few who do, from time to time, they say it’s a sign of love, respect and appreciation for the women in their lives.

It is also seen as a way to help the women in their lives to avoid carrying a heavy load; but to many and especially in Kenya, carrying a woman’s handbag is where the line is drawn, it’s an abomination.

“The man may have been sat on, or it may just be a display of courtly behavior, but there are better ways to display chivalry, other than carrying a woman’s handbag,” says Mwangi, as I engage citizens in Nairobi following Terence Creative’s statement on Instagram that:

Men carrying their women’s hand bag is a trend that is coming back, which can be seen as a good or a bad thing, depending on your beliefs.

There are some people who believe that this trend is a good thing; as it shows that men are becoming more in touch with their feminine side and are no longer afraid to express themselves in this way.

There are also those who believe that this trend is a bad thing, as it can be seen as a sign of weakness and a lack of masculinity.
