This Is Why The ‘NiShow Power’ Was Cancelled

The NiShow Power concert which was meant to go down today was canceled indefinitely due to vandalism after University of Nairobi(UoN) students yesterday went on a rampage to cry foul against cooking in hostels which saw many properties destroyed.

The University of Nairobi students last night destroyed and vandalized property worth upto over 100M belonging to supplies of an event scheduled to happen Sunday at the institution.

The concert dubbed Nishow Power was meant to empower the students as well as allow them to apply for identity cards. The stricking students went on rampage doing the worst and organizers had to postpone the drive indefinitely.

The event that was caused by the rowdy students caused such an uproar that even the US Embassy was not amused.

And the NiShow Power organizers regrettably had this to say about the concert

The University of Nairobi students are demanding rights to have their meals done at their hostels as the management bans cooking in the hostels. The students took their anger to Uhuru Highway late night. Here are some of the photos.
