Diamond Platnumz has set new YouTube records in Africa hours after releasing his new song ‘Waah’ featuring Koffi Olomide.

The song which was released on November 30th became an instant hit on YouTube garnering 2 million views in just 13 hours and setting a new record in Africa.

‘Waah’ becomes the first song in sub-Saharan Africa to clock two million YouTube views in less than 24 hours since the inception of the streaming platform, YouTube.

“Thank you for the new Record in Africa #WAAH! VIDEO 2 Million Youtube Viewers within 13 Hours, it’s more than Blessings…🙏🏼,” wrote an excited Diamond Platnumz.

It’s also important to note that Diamond became the first sub-Saharan artiste to garner most YouTube subscribers with over 4 million subscribers.

‘Waah’ is currently trending first on YouTube trends, and is also among most streamed songs on music streaming site Audiomack.
