SWIGA, is storming the scenery as a female singer, songwriter and live performing artiste who is conversant with different genres that she blends to bring about her unique sound. Her performances are graced with sheer candid expression of emotions commanding the stage with her powerhouse soulful voice in breathtaking performances. “Music is the ultimate naked expression of human existence”.
She found her heart and soul through expressing herself musically. Her music is influenced by the day to day experiences of life. This musical journey began as a child where she started off in school and church plays. She took music as her elective subject in high school and participated in various music festivals and plays.
Thereafter, took a few vocal lessons from the Kenya Conservatoire of music and later joined Sauti Academy, a one-year artiste development program which has exposed her to the music culture, industry and business in the various aspects.
Her influencers in music include and not limited to H_art the Band, Sauti Sol, Nazizi, Susan Gogosimo, Hellen Mtawali, Doreen from the Tusker Project Fame5, Natalie lukkenaer, Denisse Gordon. Among and not limited to venues she has performed include the KICC, Ubuntu Fireplace, La Palanka Restaurant, Daas Ethopian Restaurant, RainForest lounge, Villa Rosa Kempinski, the Safari park Hotel, Serena hotel among others.
