She is Kenya’s undisputed queen of the “clapback,” and Vera Sidika is not letting 2026 start without setting the record straight on her bank balance.
In a series of explosive Instagram stories shared on Monday, January 5, 2026, the Real Housewives of Nairobi star addressed persistent rumours that she had “fallen off” financially.
The gossip reached fever pitch this week with claims that the entrepreneur had moved out of her multi-million shilling mansion to rent a “modest” apartment in the leafy suburb of Kileleshwa.
“Kenyans, hamchokiii (you don’t get tired). You just repeat the same fake rumour every year, hamma jipya (don’t you have anything new)?” Sidika wrote, mocking the lack of creativity from her “haters.”
The mother-of-two, who famously documented the birth of her children Asia and Ice Brown on reality TV, laughed off the idea of a financial crisis by pointing to her driveway.
Referencing her high-end Range Rover Vogue, which she claims is worth 18 million shillings, she challenged the narrative that she is struggling to make ends meet.
“Ati Nimesota na Range Rover Vogue ya 18 million with my full names kwa logbook?” she quipped.
“Ata sita rent apartment. Nita laa kwa gari tu (I won’t even rent an apartment. I’ll just sleep in the car).”
To clear up the confusion, Sidika revealed that she is actually bi-coastal—or at least “bi-residential”—within Nairobi.
She explained that she actively maintains two homes: her primary mansion where her children reside with their nannies, and a second apartment in Kileleshwa that serves as her personal “chill spot” and hosting “mancave.”
“Yaaani, till now, people don’t know I actively live in 2 places… If you see me at my apartment, it doesn’t mean I don’t have a mansion, dumbass,” she added with her characteristic bluntness.

The 36-year-old noted that these rumours are nothing new. She claimed that “downfall prayers” have been directed her way for over 13 years, yet her lifestyle remains as lavish as ever.
From her global travels to her recent co-parenting updates with ex-husband Brown Mauzo, Sidika insists her financial independence is ironclad.
In a final humorous jab at the absurdity of the claims, she joked that the rumours have become so wild that some people now believe she has “grown a tail.”
“Hii downfall mumeiombea for 13 years now… It can NEVER happen,” she concluded. “God doesn’t come from your village.”
