Hot 96 radio presenter Nick Odhiambo has escaped unhurt after being involved in a road accident on New Year’s Eve that left his car badly damaged.

The seasoned broadcaster broke the news in the early hours of January 1, 2026, taking to social media to inform fans and followers about the frightening incident.

Odhiambo revealed that the crash was caused by fatigue, admitting he had been driving while exhausted at the time.

“Everything was going really well until I decided to drive while exhausted… seems like I might have to get another car soon. Goodbye my cute A5,” he wrote on Facebook.

Photos shared online showed the front section of his car extensively damaged, although he did not disclose where the accident occurred.

Despite the severity of the damage, the popular presenter expressed gratitude that the situation did not turn tragic. He also shared a heartfelt message addressed to his children, without confirming whether they were in the vehicle at the time.

“To my kids, I won’t let you down again. I am grateful that it didn’t go as badly as it could have gone,” he added.

Nick Odhiambo has been a familiar voice in Kenyan media for over 18 years. He began his radio career at Classic 105 in 2006, later joined Radio Maisha, and moved to Hot 96 in 2021, where he currently co-hosts the breakfast show alongside veteran journalist Jeff Koinange.

Beyond radio, Odhiambo is known for his deep voice and sharp humor, and has featured in popular local TV productions including Auntie Boss and The XYZ Show.

Following the incident, fans and colleagues poured into his social media pages with messages of concern, relief, and well-wishes, thankful that he walked away from the crash unharmed.
