The wife and manager of Kenya’s biggest musical export has delivered a blistering takedown of entitled strangers who have spent years pressuring her to conceive.
Chiki Kuruka, who tied the knot with Sauti Sol’s Bien-Aimé Baraza in March 2020, broke her silence on Friday to address the vile comments she receives regarding the couple’s five-year marriage and their lack of children.
In a raw and defiant post, the fitness enthusiast revealed the shocking level of harassment she faces, including suggestions that her husband should abandon her for a woman who can produce children.
“I’ve had MANY comments by women and men telling Bien to find a woman who will produce for him kids,” Chiki shared with her followers.
“I also got tired of replying to these questions. The list goes ON as to why this shouldn’t be asked in a public forum by a stranger.”

The 36-year-old manager, who has been in a relationship with the ‘Inauma’ singer for over a decade, argued that society’s obsession with her reproductive choices is rooted in deep-seated sexism.
She insisted that just as certain family members are considered “off-limits” for public disrespect, a woman’s body should be treated with the same level of sanctity.
“In the same way our mothers should be off the table, so should our wombs. Unless we ourselves open up the forum for conversation,” she wrote.
Chiki and Bien have long been one of Nairobi’s most celebrated power couples, known for their modern approach to marriage and their “Alone-Together” philosophy.
However, since their private wedding ceremony in Lavington five years ago, the public scrutiny regarding a potential “Sauti Sol baby” has reached a fever pitch.

According to Chiki, the constant interrogation reduces her entire existence to her reproductive capacity, ignoring her successful career and her 11-year partnership with the Grammy-winning star.
The couple has previously been open about their views on family, with Bien famously sparking a national conversation about his willingness to undergo a vasectomy to support his wife.
Despite their transparency, Chiki noted that many comments are not made in “good faith” but are instead “rooted in entitlement.”
“Im SO glad she spoke up,” Chiki added, in support of fellow influencer Wixx Mangutha, who also recently slammed the “womb-watchers.”

By firing back at those urging her husband to seek a “fertile” alternative, Chiki has sent a clear message to the public: her marriage is defined by love, not a birth certificate.
