Outspoken entrepreneur and socialite Huddah Monroe has set the internet ablaze after digging into her archives to share a rare throwback photo with President William Ruto – coupled with a scathing reflection on her time spent in the inner circles of the former First Family.
In a series of candid Instagram posts, Huddah claimed she saw the “Hustler-in-Chief’s” meteoric rise coming long before he occupied State House, even when those closest to the presidency dismissed him as a “nobody.”
The photo, which captures a much younger Ruto alongside the glamorous star, was taken during a period when Huddah was reportedly close friends with one of retired President Uhuru Kenyatta’s children.
Huddah recalled how her choice of company raised eyebrows among the elite.
She claimed that when she took the photo, the President’s son was left baffled by her interest in the future Head of State.
“And with RUTO. He was a nobody here. I told my friend whose father was the president then that Ruto would one day be president,” Huddah wrote.

According to the star, the reaction from the Kenyatta household was one of pure disbelief and subtle mockery.
“My friend was like, ‘Why are you taking photos with him?’ They really looked down on the fella then.”
Never one to shy away from a confrontation, Huddah admitted that her “prediction” wasn’t just a moment of political foresight—it was a deliberate attempt to ruffle feathers.
She confessed that she threw the comment out as a jab at the elitist attitudes she felt surrounded her at the time, styling herself as a defiant supporter of the underdog.
“Exact words I said: ‘This guy will be President one day,’ just to piss off my friend and his dad, who was President then,” she stated boldly. “Na bcoz mimi ni supporter wa hustlers (And because I am a supporter of hustlers).”

The revelation provides a fascinating glimpse into the historical tension between the Kenyatta and Ruto camps, suggesting that even years ago, the “Hustler” narrative was already causing friction within the corridors of power.
While Huddah says her words were “not received well” and were dismissed by the powerful family at the time, she clearly feels she has had the last laugh.
Her comments suggest she was confident in Ruto’s potential even when he was being underestimated by the country’s most powerful political dynasty.
