Controversial preacher Pastor Victor Kanyari has left his congregation in disbelief after turning his church altar into a cinema to screen the viral secret tapes of Russian national Yaytseslav Trahov.
During his Sunday ministration on February 15, 2026, the Salvation Healing Ministries leader used a massive projector to display raw footage of the Russian pick-up artist to hundreds of worshippers.
Kanyari explained that the screening was necessary to inform those without smartphones about the “predator” currently trending across Kenya and Ghana.
In a shocking addition to the ongoing scandal, the self-proclaimed prophet claimed that Trahov’s secret recordings were not limited to women. Kanyari alleged that he had viewed a separate batch of videos showing the Russian man with male partners.
“He has also posted videos of all the men that he has slept with. Like now, in that video playing, you can see that it is a security guy he approached, and they went together,” Kanyari told his stunned flock.
The preacher questioned the Russian’s motives, expressing astonishment at why a tourist would record such intimate and potentially incriminating acts so openly rather than acting with discretion.
The sermon quickly shifted from a media screening to a spiritual intervention.
Kanyari maintained that the only reason so many women in Roysambu, Mtwapa, and Nyali fell for the Russian’s advances was the dire economic situation facing many Kenyans.
As the images of women being lured into Airbnbs flickered on the screen, Kanyari broke into an emotional prayer.
“May God eliminate poverty in your lives, and the spirit of poverty also I declare, in Jesus’ name,” he shouted, arguing that financial stability would prevent women from being “trapped” by such individuals.
Despite the heavy theme of the service, Kanyari found time for a romantic or supportive gesture that sparked further “mixed reactions” online.
He instructed his ushers to bring a magnificent bouquet of roses to the pulpit, which he then gifted to social media personality Marion Naipei.
Naipei, who has recently been a frequent guest at Kanyari’s church following her own sex videos, appeared touched by the gesture.
Critics, however, questioned the optics of a pastor gifting roses to a socialite immediately after screening sex tapes in the sanctuary.
