Celebrated actress Jackie Matubia has revealed that she is a pastor’s child and that is open to being officially anointed for ministry.
The award-winning actress, who first shocked fans in December 2025 by announcing she had become “born again,” has now dropped the biggest hint yet that her future lies in the church.
Speaking at a high-profile tech launch, the ‘Zora’ star admitted she would not say no to becoming an ordained pastor if the “Call” came.
“Only God is going to tell me. So, if He decides to anoint me, who am I to refuse?” she told a captivated audience.
While the announcement might seem sudden to the public, Matubia revealed that ministry is in her blood.

As a “pastor’s child,” she explained that transitioning into a religious role wouldn’t be the “big shift” people expect, but rather a return to her roots.
Matubia described herself as a “living testimony,” claiming that her faith was the only thing that rescued her from her “darkest place” during a grueling 2025 that saw her personal life under constant tabloid scrutiny.
Despite her spiritual pivot, Matubia isn’t walking away from the entertainment industry just yet. The actress confirmed she is “set and ready” for the second season of her hit show Toxic.
However, her 2026 mission is two-fold: she intends to use her 1.2 million Instagram followers to spread the gospel while simultaneously launching a business mentorship program.
The initiative aims to teach women and single mothers how to import and sell goods from China—combining spiritual healing with financial independence.

“I have committed this year to preaching the gospel,” she stated firmly.
Whether she is on a film set or behind a pulpit, it appears the “new” Jackie Matubia is determined to be a voice for empowerment and faith in the new year.
