Y’all have always wanted to catch up with Marck Don the only outselling artist I’ve encountered in the whole of Zambia entertainment industry. Originally he is from Chingola, gaining music interest while still young at around the age of eleven when he started writing songs done by Macky2 from Zambia and Mr Nice from Tanzania.
Later on at around the age of 15 years that’s when he starting writing his own music, performing Like Miming Macky2 And BaskaBaska’s Song more especially at the school functions and Church functions.
“In December 2012 some guys took me to the studio for the first time for me to put in a verse in their song I did all they wanted and that song was dropped and my verse wasn’t in that song and I got frustrated” quoted Marck Don.
In 2013 he took a break from doing music to fucus on playing football, later resumed at around the grade of 10 and finally decided to get back into serious music. From time to time with the back to back performances he gained prominence and a lot of popularity in his junior school.
Before writing his grade 12 exams he landed on a one year music sponsorship doing his first music video titled Laka pushing him to CBC Viewers Choice Awards under the category of The Best Upcoming Artist In Zambia.
In 2018 things started moving due to the music awards nomination, it brought about many deals prompting him to work with onr of the biggest artists in Zambia that’s Macky2. He has been pushing beyond limits since then and has work with other prominent names in the entertainment scenes, the likes of Chef 187, Muzo Aka Alphonso ,Jemax And Yceleb. The year 2022 looks so much promising for this fast rising artist, lets be on the watch out.
