Jaguar who is the current Director at NACADA(National Agency for the Campaign against Drug Abuse) has come forth to tell all the artistes that as much as they ought to be paid their dues by the music regulatory body MCSK, they shouldn’t be depending on them solely as a source of income because there are numerous ways an artiste can get paid from their music. Though he didn’t go into details what other things artistes can make their money without solely depending on MCSK governing body, I think he meant that you can survive with shows, endorsement and so on and so forth.

“I’d like to urge upcoming Kenyan musicians not to be discouraged by the on going wrangles with the copyright societies. In music there are many ways one can earn and be succesful. Royalties is just one of the avenues. “Jaguar

The ‘Kioo’ hit musician has been known not to hold back his opinion and his rising from the bottom all the way to the top might just be the reason why he is qualified to make this statement because all his money sure didn’t come from any regulatory bodies let alone MCSK.
