Zuchu is going international at a lightning speed. The Bongo singer has been picked to perform at Afrimma Awards gala in America just days after she was nominated for MTV EMA awards.
The ‘Sukari’ hitmaker recently became the first female musician from East Africa to be nominated for MTV European Music Awards (EMA).
The Bongo songbird has been nominated for the MTV EMA awards under the category of Best African Act.
“Tanzania stand up your girl is nominated on the @mtvema God is good niseme asante ni kwa sababu yenu ndo mimi niko hapo nawapenda sana. I’m coming back with a better caption cos right now am still shaking let me calm down first,” an excited Zuchu announced.
Just a few days after being nominated for the famous MTV EMA awards, Zuchu has again been nominated as a special performer at this year’s Afrimma awards.
The Afrimma Awards will be held in the city of Dallas, Texas in the United States on the 19th of November.

Through their official Instagram page, Afrimma uploaded a dancing video of Zuchu playing his new song Kwikwi with his dancers and said that it is official that the artist will be among the entertainers who will grace the celebrations.
Afrimma also made it clear that apart from the artist being nominated as an entertainer, she has also been nominated for the awards in the Best Female East Africa category.
“Zuchu atatumbuiza moja kwa moja kwenye Onyesho la TUZO ZA AFRIMMA mwaka huu. Zuchu ni mwimbaji na mtunzi wa nyimbo kutoka Tanzania mzaliwa wa Zanzibar lakini mwenye makazi yake jijini Dar es Salaam. Ameteuliwa katika kitengo cha “BEST FEMALE EAST AFRICA” kwa tuzo za mwaka huu. AFRIMMA 2022 itakuwa imejaa pomoni na mastaa watakaofurika ukumbini. Usifungiwe nje!” Zuchu wrote.
