Zuchu is the biggest African female musician, thanks to Diamond Platnumz

Thanks to Diamond Platnumz believing in Zuchu, she has become one of the best female artiste Africa and more specifically the East African region has seen thus far.

Granted, there are a whole lot of established artistes across the continent, but no one of them has achieved a lot in their career in the shortest time ever.

Zuchu real name Zuhura Othman Soud who opened up about waiting to get signed in one of the hottest record labels in Africa, WCB for 4 years came into the limelight is talented as they come.

She is the daughter of the revered Taarab maestro, Khadija Kopa.

Zuchu has been in the game professionally in less than six months and in those few months after she was unveiled as the newest artistes signed under Diamond Platnumz’s record label, Wasafi Classic Baby(WCB).

Diamond Platnumz brought out Zuchu from the total abyss where nobody knew who she was to become one of the biggest female artistes we’ve ever seen.

Thanks to the talent that Zuchu possesses, she became the first African woman in music history to have amassed 1 million streams on YouTube in one day on her two records dubbed ‘Cheche’ and, ‘Litawachoma’ featuring her boss, Diamond Platnumz.

Diamond Platnumz unveiling his newest star, Zuchu, he did it differently this time around by first releasing her debut EP dubbed ‘I Am Zuchu’ that was well received and proved that she belonged to be among the greatest of the greats in music today.

So far, Zuchu who has served us with numerous songs with all of them being hit records, she’s proven that she’s here to stay and dominate each and every day and for now, she’s the female face of the WCB record label that’s synonymous or making stars.

Zuchu started her official music career back in April 2020 as a professional artiste after she was unveiled as the new signee of WCB.

Prior to getting signed by WCB, she made her first step of becoming a musician in Lagos back in 2015 at the first edition of ‘Tecno Own The Stage’.

She earlier on covered numerous Mbosso’s hit records with one of them being the timeless ‘Nadekezwa’ which has an impressive number of streams on YouTube.

She was introduced to the WCB fanbase with her debut EP dubbed ‘I Am Zuchu’ which has been streamed over 4.5 million times on Boomplay alone and 5.46 million streams on Audiomack.

What makes this numbers unique is that she’s a new artiste in the music industry and prior to April 9th, nobody knew who she was and for a new artiste pulling the numbers she’s pulling today, she’s by far one of those unique artistes who is going to cause major ripples in the global music industry since she’s almost reaching the ceiling of her African plateau.

Currently having over 453K subscribers, Zuchu has a cumulative 48,410,873 total streams and counting on YouTube which she’s had in the 5 months she’s been a professional musician.
