Zuchu has opened up recently about the people she thought would hold her down in her career and support her forever.

The WCB signed artiste is surprised to find out that the friends she thought were friends were nothing but pretenders who were not happy for her at all.

The ‘Sukari’ hitmaker opened up real name Zuhura Kopa, daughter of Khadija Kopa who got signed under Diamond Platnumz’s Wasafi Classic Baby record label back in April 2020 has achieved a whole lot in one year than her counterpart in the music industry who were already established before her joining the music industry officially.

There’s a price to pay for being famous and successful in the music industry today, Zuchu confessed on her social media update talking about the sacrifices you have to make in your personal life just to be ahead of the curve in the industry.

Naming but a few prices to pay for being famous in the music industry today, Zuchu disclosed that losing some dear close friends along the way who inevitably turns to strangers after becoming successful made her focus solely on her career.

Prior to her blowing up and becoming one of the most sought-after musicians from and in Africa today, she had really close friends that she could depend on, it’s somewhat confusing that right now when she’s on top of the world, she doesn’t have any.

She’s more than convinced that the friends she was forced to drop like hot potato were the negative force bringing forth some uninvited negative energy around her that kept dragging her down. It’s fundamental for her cutting them off completely and focusing on herself, her family that has since grown thanks to the WCB family and her career.

“One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned from my journey is that the bigger you grow the fake the people around you become.

Fame has a price and in most cases is losing people. People u possibly thought u knew or trusted become strangers in no time wow. But hey it’s called real life,” the Sukari hitmaker penned on her Instagram.

In the shortest time period ever, Zuchu became the first East, South, and West African female artiste to clock over 100K subscribers on YouTube today, she’s also the first East African female musician to have the most streamed song on YouTube. She also holds the record of being the first East African female musician to have cumulative views of 100 million views in the shortest time period ever. I mean, Zuchu has only been active in the music industry for slightly over 13 months now.

Away from her successful music catalog, Zuchu has also landed a couple of endorsement deals in the 13 months since she was unveiled as the new WCB signed artiste in the roster.
