Zuchu’s elder brother Suma Kopa has added a new twist into Diamond Platnumz and Zuchu’s relationship which has been a subject of discussion ever since the two were first reported to be dating in December 2021.
Speaking in an interview with Millard Ayo, Suma said he was unaware of the kind of relationship between his sister and Diamond.
He said that his sister Zuchu was yet to formally introduce the Wasafi boss to their family.
“I have zero information about their relationship because they’ve not confirmed it to us. I have seen on social media but I can’t speak on their behalf,” Suma said.
Zuchu’s elder brother further denied rumors that Diamond had visited their home in Zanzibar to pay a dowry for the ‘Sukari’ hitmaker.
“It’s not true (paying the bride price). I am her elder brother and things like those can’t happen without me knowing. They can’t hide that information from me, we do respect each other. Maybe it’s just romance,” said Suma.
The statement by Zuchu’s brother contradicts that of their mother celebrated Taarab singer Khadija Kopa who had earlier claimed that the family had already received Zuchu’s bride price.
“I do not know whether she is getting married to Diamond. But what I know is that her dowry has already been paid,” Khadija Kopa said in a past interview.
