Zian Achana who is already in police custody over the death of her husband has given her side of the story that led to the sudden death of her husband of many years who happens to be a Kenyan Defence Forces officer.

Zian Achana real name Violet Asale is in police custody after it was alleged that she had a hand in her husband’s death called Daniel Omollo Onyango who had done tours in Somalia.

It has now emerged that the 37-year-old Daniel Omollo Onyango was somewhat uneasy after his estranged wife, a musician by profession had reportedly rented out a studio at Mirema Drive in Roysambu.

Police investigations disclosed that Mr. Daniel Omollo Onyango had doubted the existence of the aforementioned studio and thought that someone else was paying the rent of the studio.

In an effort to try to put to bed his worries about his wife, the KDF private traveled from his base station in Gilgil base in Nakuru to Nairobi to seek out the truth for himself.

While in Nairobi at their home in Kahawa Wendani, a fought broke out in the middle of the night between himself and his wife Violet Asale popularly known as Zian Achana. This was after Mr. Daniel had refused to eat the food that was served to him, he reportedly didn’t even want to talk to his family.

The fight between the couple started out in their bedroom a few minutes past midnight on early Sunday morning on the 4th day of April 2021.

Earlier reports by the police stated that the late KDF officer had sustained some bite marks on his chest, and had injuries on his hand while the wife also sustained injuries on her shoulder.

According to the wife’s relatives who were present when the fight between the couple broke out said that they had tried to intervene.

The relatives told the police that the wife pushed Onyango to the wall and Mr. Daniel collapsed before they were able to intervene.

“Hajastabiwa hata kidogo. Hakuna hata alama ya kisu wala kugongwa [He wasn’t stabbed and he doesn’t even have a stab wound]. My husband fainted. Katika ile harakati ya sisi kung’ang’ana mimi nilitoka nje ye akabaki ndani (bedroom) [During the scuffle I freed myself and left him in the bedroom]. Katika ile hasira yake yeye anaendaga akiangusha vitu kwa nyumba. Alibaki kwa bedroom, akaanza kuvunjana na …, sasa siwezi jua alijigonga wapi [When he gets angry he likes throwing things in the house and self-harming]…

After like five minutes, he called out saying he was having difficulty breathing. He started holding his stomach, I don’t know where he hit himself,” said Ms. Asale according to K24 reporting.

The musician said that she is now looking for a lawyer to represent her in court on Tuesday, April 6, when she is expected to be arraigned in Court as police continue to investigate the soldier’s death.

The body of Mr. Daniel Omollo Onyango was moved to the Kenya Defence Forces Memorial Hospital Mortuary pending an autopsy.

Police tasked with finding out what might have happened to Mr. Daniel that might have led to his death stumbled upon some piece of information about the late KDF officer.

Apparently, the KDF officer had survived a serious road accident and a landmine explosion together with his envoy while on duty.

Ms. Asale who referred to Mr. Onyango as her ex-husband and the father of her child recorded a statement together with her relatives who were present in the house during the scuffle that led to her husband’s death.

Violet Asale is set to be arraigned in court tomorrow, Tuesday, April 6, 2021.
