Zari Hassan visited the grave of her late ex-husband Ivan Ssemwanga to pay her tribute while she enjoyed the holiday in Uganda.
The mother of five reminded Ivan that he was still in her heart six years after his unfortunate death.
“Forever in our hearts,” Zari captioned a photo of herself sitting next to Ivan’s grave.
Zari also visited Ivan’s grave in January 2023. She however sparked an uproar on social media after posting a picture of herself sitting on the grave of her ex-husband.
The picture has widely been deemed as ‘inappropriate’.
Zari had captioned the picture thus; “Bin a min bro, passed by to see how u keeping. Gone but not forgotten.”
The message saw most of her fans offer messages of condolence and words of encouragement. However, others were not pleased by the gesture.
Zari Hassan’s late husband Ivan Ssemwanga died on May 25, 2017 after short illness.
Ivan suffered a stroke and was taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in South Africa where he stayed.
He was operated in a bid to clear up some clots in his stream but unfortunately he died at the Steve Biko hospital in Pretoria, South Africa where he had been admitted.
Before his death, Ivan had been admitted at the hospital less than two weeks earlier after he fell unconscious at home following a heart condition.
The 43-year-old Ugandan socialite shares three children with Ivan. They were blessed with three sons – Pinto, Raphael and Quincy George – in the course of their marriage.
