The award-winning singer, songwriter and a self-taught guitarist, Zahara real name Bulelwa Mkutukanan was scheduled to perform in London for the Mandela concert last Wednesday but she couldn’t make it because she was attacked by people she was trying to help.
“People can dislike you without a cause. These are tests you have to pass. Stay on the high road. They don’t control your destiny. 💜” one of my favorite posts Zahara posted on April this year on Instagram that is bound to lift your spirit every single time you need some encouragement.
Zahara who reached out to help out “job seekers” -as she kindly puts it- by giving money to them to help them in one way or the other, they instead reached out and stabbed her causing her to cancel her London’s Mandela show and push it forward to October.
“Its very sad that ones humility and humanitarian beliefs are welcomed in this manner. Bu phelelephi ubuntu.” Zahara expressed her disappointments in turning a victim for helping out as any noble human would wholeheartedly.
This is the touching full post the ‘Mgodi’ and ‘Loliwe’ hit maker, Zahara posted to adress her ordeal
I always believe that when you have a loaf of bread, one could always be able to share just a little with someone else. If you have 1000 surely even a R5 would be worth something to someone. I was due to be in London UK by Wednesday for the Mandela concert however couldnt make it because tuesday night just as i drove by Spar in my area i reached out to give “job seekers” some money instead they reached out grabbed my arm and stabbed me, tried to open my door, with the intent to cause more boldy harm. Its very sad that ones humility and humanitarian beliefs are welcomed in this manner. Bu phelelephi ubuntu. ie;mandela tour now postponed for october
