First-time MP Ndindi Nyoro is gaining national attention thanks to his tenacity in propagating Jubilee agenda.
The firebrand Kiharu MP has however been cautioned by Donald Kipkorir to tone down on his tough talk.
Kipkorir warned Ndindi Nyoro that he will become a tribal demagogue just like Moses Kuria if he is not careful.
The rich lawyer further advised Nyoro to rediscover himself by going through his old Facebook posts before he joined politics.
Below is the open letter Kipkorir wrote to Ndindi Nyoro :
Short Letter To Hon. Ndindi Nyoro , MP, Kiharu
Congratulations on your election as MP of the great Kiharu Constituency. Many outstanding men have preceded you in that seat, the most famous being Kenneth Matiba. Matiba was the President Kenya deserved but didn’t get.
Mhe, I consider you my younger brother. And we became friends way before I knew you will join politics. And you have eaten in my house; a privilege afforded to few.
I write this with the greatest humility. I give you my advise that one’s darkness doesn’t change if you put off the light of your neighours. No one will become beautiful by exposing the ugliness of the other. No one becomes tall by belittling the short.
Don’t built your political career by talking down others. Don’t be a tribal demagogue. You can be a great leader without being seen as a Kikuyu Supremacist. Leave that to Moses Kuria and Ngunjiri Wambugu. They have laid their mat.
Always be the nationalist I met. Be the anti-corruption crusader I knew. Be the optimist I shared a future for all. Look at your Facebook posts before you joined politics this year. The Ndindi of last year and beyond and the Ndindi of now are strangers. Your Christian name is Samson: don’t let politics be your Delilah!
And something personal: the people of Kiharu under Matiba had political connections with people of Cheptongei! Find out and tell me another time. Don’t burn those bridges.
Stay well my friend. Be blessed my brother.
Donald
