The super talented songwriter and gifted vocalist Xenia Manasseh has taken time to give her gratitude to one of the best Afropop music groups in the world, Sauti Sol for letting her be a part of their recently released project ‘Midnight Train’.
Xenia Manasseh who has just been in the mainstream music industry in the shortest time possible has managed to carve her name in the African music scene by working with the best of the best in the industry with a few mentionable being King Kaka, Kagwe Mungai.
Xenia Manasseh was also selected to be a part Mr Eazi’s #Empawa30 project. She also released one of the best projects today independently.
Xenia Manasseh released one of the best projects ‘Fallin’ Apart’ last year without any features that will forever make her one of the best R&B/Soul musician Kenya has ever seen in this generation.
She’s like the Kenyan version of Elaine from South Africa who released an independent project that helped put her in a musical pedestal so much so that international artistes like Joe Biden played her records.
Xenia Manasseh opens up on not having enough money for her projects
Being a part of Sauti Sol’s 5th studio album is something that Xenia Manasseh can’t easily overlook and she made it clear on her lengthy social media post where she thanked Sauti Sol for believing in her so much so that she was featured in one of the number one song/s not only in Kenya but across the entire Africa country dubbed ‘Rhumba Japani’ that features Kaskazini, Bensoul, Nviiri The Storyteller, Okello Max & Nairobi Horns Project.
“Man… I don’t even know what to say. CONGRATULATIONS Sauti Sol on ‘Midnight Train’” She wrote in part, adding;
“I feel soooo blessed to have been able to sing on a couple of songs on there with my sister Lisa Oduor & Rhumba Japani (🤯) & to have been a part of this creative process for what I think is a timeless album.”
Xenia Manasseh was on a reverie thinking of how she felt the first time she met up with Sauti Sol eight years ago when she was still a student at Aga Khan, “and like I’ve been saying gives me “Mwanzo” vibes 🥰 I remember the first time I met you guys maybe 8 years ago at Aga Khan just happy to finally see you guys live especially after I had been making several arrangements to a few of your songs so I could sing them with my friends”
“😅 so crazy to think about the things God has planned for you .. sheesh. I’m feeling blessed and super grateful 🌹🌹🌹🌹 & with everything that has been going on today I felt happy & I’m so grateful for that man.” the singer-songwriter and dancer signed to the American label, Upper Class Music Group, based Atlanta said.
“Congratulations you guys Sauti Sol. Bien-Aime, Polycarp Otieno, Savara Mudigi, Willis Chimano, 💜💜💜💜💜💜” she concluded alongside #MidnightTrain #SautiSol hashtags.
