Wyre actually deserves to be given his well-deserving props for bridging the Jamaica and Kenya gap where international Reggae and Ragga artistes can easily now collaborate with Kenyan artistes to release hit records. Wyre has since collaborated with Wyre, Ce’cile and Morgan Heritage to mention a few.
Wyre speaking with Kiss FM opened up about how the collaboration with Alaine dubbed ‘Nakupenda Pia’ came to be in the first place.

“for me it was a humbling experience, I opened for her when she came for one of the Sepetuka events in Carnivore, at that time I just opened for her. But a couple of years after that I got in touch with her management and they put me in touch with her and asked her if she would be interested in doing a track with me.” Wyre said about getting to work with Alaine for the very first time.
Wyre went on to say that Alaine had already heard his music from the same riddim dubbed ‘Relationship’ that they were both a part of, “…she had heard my stuff from before because we are on the same riddim with her, on the relationship riddim and the person who were linking us up also played her some of the stuff, she was like “Ok”, “cool”, send me an idea and let’s see what we can do together” he added.

Wyre went on to the studio and recorded ‘Nakupenda pia’ which he later on sent her to record her vocals. She took her time getting back to him and to some extent, Wyre thought that she didn’t like the song and started doubting if the maginificent collaboration will come to be, but she later on asked sent Wyre an email and said that she loved the track and that Wyre is an original artiste. Wyre is also happy to be privileged enough to travel to Jamaica to shoot the music video for the ‘Nakupenda Pia’ record.
Wyre said he is always open to work with Alaine again if the timing is right for both of them.
