Jamaican dancehall and Reggae superstar Etana is set to jet into the country on the 27th October 2021 ahead of her concert dubbed Pamoja at the Waterfront,Ngong Racecourse, Nairobi on 30th October.
Sponsored by The Kulture, the concert will feature local acts -Wyre, Gravitti band Double Trouble, Dj Mash Kenya, Kiss Darlin, DJ Moh, DJ Vybrant,Mc Phillipo among others.
“We are super excited to bring Etana to Kenya after a long hiatus in the entertainment industry due to Covid-19, with all the MOH guidelines in place, the health and security of the fans is well taken care of.
Etana Will do club appearances, have a meet and greet in Nairobi ahead of her anticipated performance on October 30th, 2021,” the organizers revealed.
Speaking about her return to Kenya, an elated Etana says that she’s more than ready to come to Nairobi once again noting that Kenya makes her feel like her second home away from her Jamaican home.
“I am so ready for Nairobi and can’t wait to see you all. Kenya is my second home and I’m glad to be coming home to see my people,” Etana said.
In June 2021, Etana released her studio album dubbed ‘Pamoja’ that features various artistes from Africa.
Wyre the Love Child, Naiboi and Michael Bundi, Mandy from Tanzania, Wezi from Zambia, and Ghana’s dancehall superstar, Stonebwoy are featured on the studio album. Other artistes featured in the album are Jamaican dancehall king Vybz Kartel and Yahsha.
The album also features her cover version of Fadhili Williams classic, forever-timeless hit Swahili song ‘Malaika’.
