Willy Paul has finally addressed the allegations leveled against him by his former signee Miss P real name Elvira Wambui Maina after she opened up the other day about the award-winning musician forcing himself numerous times.
Miss P claimed that Willy Paul forced himself on her more than once, something that she categorically claimed that she wasn’t into to begin with. She opened up about a lot of other things that shocked a lot of netizens after her tell-all interview.
After the interview, Willy Paul didn’t respond to the allegations leveled against him, he didn’t even comment on the same until Sunday, 5, 2021 where he shared the official demand lender from his lawyers to the former signee of Saldido International Records, Miss P.
The defamatory story was dated 2nd September 2021. Willy Paul also attached his first statement on the allegations stating that Miss P was infatuated with him, she loved him but he didn’t and when she felt the love wasn’t reciprocated, she fabricated everything she said in her sit-down interview.
“I’ve seen n heard all that’s been happening for the past few days on social media about a lady claiming to have been sexually assaulted by me. I’d like to let everyone know that this is a made up story.
This is a lady who’s deeply in love with me and is acting out of anger, we had our moments… but when she realized that I couldn’t give back the same love she made up a story that has really done alot of damage to my good and clean brand.
My lawyers are working on the case and very soon the truth will come out,” Willy Paul’s official statement read.
“On or around the 31st August, 2021 you individually made false and damaging utterances against our client on your Interview with one Presenter Ali. The utterances were full of false, libellous, and malicious information against our Client,” the official demand letter read in part.
The letter went further to disclose that Willy Paul has suffered an injury to his brand, his reputation and continues to do so as long as Miss P continues to make the alleged false claims.
It says that the interview she did with Presenter Ali on YouTube that went viral has brought shame, hatred, contempt, anguish, animosity, and loss of business to Willy Paul and that’s why they’re instructing her to cease and desist from making false accusations against the former gospel singer and for her to officially retract the false statements and offer a public apology by way of advertisement.
“Your video and publications by the media have visited upon our client shame, hatred, contempt, anguish, animosity, and extreme loss of business. Our client being internationally acclaimed and recognized in various countries will suffer a collapse in its name and stature should these defamatory acts not cease immediately.
We are in the premises, instructed to DEMAND from you, WHICH WE HEREBY DO that you immediately cease and desist from making the false accusations against our client, and in any event not later than 3 DAYS from the date of this letter, retract the false statement and offer a public, unqualified and unequivocal apology by way of advertisement; after which we shall contact you for negotiations on quantum for damages.” the letter read on.
Willy Paul’s Advocate made it categorically clear that they will file a suit against Miss P for damages, among other remedies if she fails to adhere to what the letter demands from her.
“TAKE NOTICE that if we do not hear from you in the matter demanded, we have instructions to commence suit against you for damages, both general and exemplary, among other remedies without further reference to you whatsoever,” the official demand letter concluded.
