Willy Paul recently released his debut studio album dubbed ‘Songs of Solomon’ that caught attention from his fans and critics alike.
The project is one of the most-streamed projects in the country in the shortest time period.
Willy Paul, though happy he got to release his debut studio album, took a jab at his management after they allegedly stopped him from releasing a collaboration project with Gengetone hook master and Ethic’s very own, Rekles.
Apparently, his management discouraged him to release the project with a Gengetone artiste because they allegedly don’t have and make sense in their songs.
“#songsofsolomon has only 9 songs, truth is, songs zinafaa kuwa 10 but unfortunately my management said no to the 10th song,” Willy Paul wrote on social media. “They said there’s no way watakubali niimbe na wasanii wa gengetone. That’ hao wasee hawana sense kwa songs zao!!”
That’s something that Willy Paul didn’t and doesn’t agree with and that’s why he decided to speak up against his management despite being legible to be sued by his management for going against their contract.
“Yes I have a contract with my team but wakikosea lazima waambiwe and looking down on people isn’t right. So mimi sai niko ready ku take hio risk, they’ve threatened to sue me if I go ahead and add the song to the album.” Willy Paul promised on Instagram before he actually released the song with Rekles.
