Willy Paul’s hit song ‘Jigi Jigi’ won the award for the video of the year at the Groove Awards 2018 but then again Willy Paul decided to extend his win to yet another talented gospel artiste, Weezdom who he believes has been working hard and deserved the award.
“My Brother Weezdom has been working hard day and night. So I just want to encourage him, that’s why I gave the award. We’ve come a long way,” Willy Paul addressed the issue of why he gave out his award to the Genius Records signed artiste and the former New Artiste winner Groove Awards winner in 2017, Weezdom.
Willy Paul went further to thank Alaine for allowing him to release the ‘Jigi Jigi’ record as a solo project which wasn’t meant to be released a solo project.
“I’d also like to thank Alaine for encouraging me to go ahead and release the song Jigi Jigi as a solo project.. ” he added.
What Willy Paul did is a very first to be done at the event.
