Willy Paul decries being snubbed by the media

1 min read

Willy Paul has raised a strong complaint against Kenyan media and blog sites for turning their backs on him when he is being talked about a lot in other foreign countries.

Through a post on InstaStories, Pozze said that his collabo ‘I Do’ with Jamaican singer Alaine he was honoured internationally even though Kenyan media did not report about it.

Willy Paul said that he has broken and set new record of being the first Kenyan to trend on American websites but not a single Kenyan blog or station talked about him.

“I just sat down and remembered that I was the first artist from Africa to trend in Shaderoom with the song ‘I Do’ and no one needed to follow up. I even trended number 2 on Apple TV in the US, no one cared. Even all the blogs, just because it’s me and not the artist they prefer,” Willy Paul wrote.

However, Willy Paul said that he will not be discouraged because he continues to work hard and next year will be even better in his musical journey than this year was.

He further thanked his fans for the support that have given him all the years.

“To all my supporters, thank you for standing with me up to this point. Well 2023 is the year I’m gonna need you more and more. Get your money ready. Get ready to purchase quality and satisying music,” he added.
