Willy Paul said president William Ruto phoned him after he called on the head of state to give him a job as he had promised.
The musician reminded Ruto about the promise he made to him about three years ago before he was elected president.
Ruto met Willy Paul at his residence on October 28, 2020, at his residence where they discussed matters creative industry.
“During an engagement with Wilson Abubakar Radido, popularly known as Willy Paul of the popular hit song “Sitolia”. We agreed to partner in our journey to make the creative economy flourish, Karen, Nairobi County,” Ruto tweeted after meeting willy Paul.
Fast forward to July 2023, Willy Paul took to social media to remind Ruto about the promise he made to him when they met in October 202o.
In his post on Instagram, Willy Paul begins by acknowledging Ruto as a man of his word and someone deeply committed to his faith.
Referring to a past tweet, Willy Paul reminds the president of their mutual agreement to work together and elevate the industry to new heights.
Willy Paul proceeds to express his readiness to take on the job and office discussed during their conversation.
With a confident tone, he states his preparedness to contribute to the growth and advancement of the industry.
“Dear Mr president, I know you’re a man of your word. Not just that, you’re also very God fearing. Men of God don’t lie and I’ve never seen you lying to anyone. Now, remember this tweet? (next slide). We agreed to partner and make the industry bigger and better. I’m now ready for the office we talked about,” Willy Paul wrote.
In the latest development, Willy Paul claimed that Ruto reached out to him after he reminded the head of state about his promise.
Pozee, however, apologized to Ruto because he didn’t pick up his call when he phoned him.
“Mr. President, Yaani We Even Gotad?? Sorry I Missed Your Call. Tufanye Kazi Sasa,” Willy Paul wrote.
