Singer Willow Smith seems to be pissed with her mother Jada Pinkett following her revelation that her marriage to Will Smith ended nearly a decade ago but they kept it secret until October 2023.
The 22-year-old singer took to social media following her mom’s shocking revelation to express her true feelings.
She uploaded a post to her Instagram Stories that appeared to represent her current emotions.
Willy posted a text card that showed a definition of the term resentment.
“Resentment is literally the experience of feeling something over and over again (re-sentiment). It’s being stuck in a loop. A helpful question to ask myself is, ‘Do I want to keep feeling this way? If the answer is no, then I get to remind myself that I can choose to feel differently,” the description said.
Jada Pinkett and Will Smith have been making appearances in public together but apparently they have been living completely separate lives since 2016.
In a clip from her forthcoming NBC News primetime special with Hoda Kotb, Pinkett Smith explained that they had not previously gone public with their separation because they were not ready yet.
Pinkett noted that they are still trying to figure out between the two of us, how to be in partnership.
“How do we present that to people? We hadn’t figured that out,” she said.
The 52-year-old actress and her 55-year-old husband have been married since 1997. Pinkett Smith said they are not legally divorced.
Their marriage has come under scrutiny during the period she says they have been apart.
