Have you ever attended Nyashinski’s live performances? if you haven’t you are missing out big time, he puts up a show just like the late Lucky Dube or the late Michael Jackson, without the moon-walking of course. When he performs LIVE, he performs LIVE, no playbacks, no nothing, he plays LIVE with a live band and that’s what makes him stand out from the rest among other things.
Here are just the few things that makes him stand out
He is the only one musician in the Kenyan music industry history to ever take a decade away from music and came back to only bounce back more than ever
His music is catchy, they can as much make you dance while in the same time educate you in the same song
Everybody has accepted him regardless of where they come from and who they are, he has so much love and a huge fan base in Tanzania and the entire eastern African continent
He already has TWO MTV Awards nominations and am not talking about the MAMAs(MTV Africa Music Awards)
Every song he puts out becomes an instant hit and it’s so true what he said in one of his rap song that he’s the only Kenyan musician to have ever attained a million views on YouTube without a music video but through an audio song
The ladies love him, Nyashinski is so versatile so much so that he can comfortably release a hit gospel song that overshadows other gospel artiste’s music and in the same switch it all up to release a love record which can resonate quite well with the ladies and then take care of the boy child with a good, quality rap music, at this moment, I am thinking about what Nyashinski can’t do as a musician, what can’t he do is the frist million dollar question.
With all of that in mind, would you agree with me that it’s about time Nyashinski -which you can comfortably shorten to Nyash- to already release an album and with his talent that oozes from him as we can attest from him releasing hits after hits, we can surely agree that he can release a solo album without any features and still top the charts.
Be it Sheng, be it Swahili and/or English, Nyashinski can flow in both with such ease that makes you wonder if he was really abroad for a decade whenever he raps in Sheng, he keeps it real even though he has the potential of clearly sounding like an American rapper.
Clearly, Nyashinki is on another level, no throwing shades on other rappers and all, but Nyashinski has a clear direction of where he wants to see his music go in the next 20 years, actually his music business is ahead of us by a decade or two, his ethics are way above par and his music is priceless, take for example the Kleptomaniax record ‘Tuendelee’ which still makes sense today even though it was released over a decade ago.
However, the second million dollar question that goes out to Nyashinski is: When is the album coming out? we need to already be listening to one of his classic album/s already.
What I am sure and confident about is when that album finally comes to fruition and drops on every platforms out there, it will be totally worth the wait, with or without the hype.
