Pastor Ezekiel Odero of the New Life church, who recently made headlines after he filled the Kasarani stadium to capacity during his crusade, has defended his move to anointing water and other things to his believers.
Speaking during an interview with the Daily Nation, Pastor Ezekiel claimed that the anointing water and handkerchiefs have made his healing service successful as more than five thousand believers who use them have received healing.
The preacher claimed that he sells the clothes and anointing water to his believers for a meagre Ksh100. And to prevent fraud, they are usually branded with the unique logos of his church.
“If people buy and use those things from fraudsters and fall short of their expectations, I will bear the blame,” he said.
“There is nothing special in the bottle. It is purified water. I pray for it. The clothes used by Paul in the Bible healed many people. The shadows of the prophets also had healing powers. When we pray, it is God’s power that heals. God gives strength to pastors. I am a human being and God will remain God,” pastor Ezekiel added.
The preacher defended his move to sell the products to believers, contrary to the notion of many that he should provide them for free. He said that he uses that money to buy others, stamp them and purify them before selling them to believers.
