Mulamwah has been trending ever since a copy of his KCSE certificate went viral showing how he was a straight A student in high school.
The comedian attained a Mean Grade of A- with straight A’s in five subjects when he sat for Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination in 2010.
Mulamwah joined Moi University in 2011 where he pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
He completed his nursing internship programme at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
“My father, who is a clinical officer, advised me on pursuing nursing as a course. It has many opportunities and open endings in the long run,” Mulamwah in a past interview with Churchill.
The comedian was juggling between nursing and comedy during his internship. He ultimately gave up his career in medicine to pursue his passion.
He unsuccessfully auditioned for the Churchill Show several times for a span of four and almost gave up on being a top comedian.
“I came to Nairobi for four consecutive years. I would travel for auditions to Nairobi every Monday and back to Eldoret by Tuesday.”
“I, unfortunately, was not successful in any of them. I wanted to come to the Churchill Show but transport money was an issue. I sometimes had to sell my phone to get enough fare,” he recalled.
Mulamwah ultimately made it to Churchill Show.
His first performance was at Kenya Cinema, which he termed as a great success, seeing as he is now one of the most celebrated comedians in the country.
Comedy has been a big success for Mulamwah, he is currently one of the most followed comedians on social media, especially YouTube, given his funny and witty skits about life upcountry.
