Under fire Gor Mahia Coach Frank Nuttall has quit the club and is set to join Egyptian giants Zamalek SC as an assistant coach.
Nuttall was last seen on Gor Mahia’s bench on Sunday as the Kenya Premier League champions lost 1-0 to arch rivals AFC leopards on Saturday.
It is believed that The Scotsman left Nairobi on Monday 7th for Egypt to complete the deal. Nuttall has been a disgruntled man at Gor Mahia ever since he took over in 2014 from Bobby Williamson.
Nuttall’s position at the helm of the Kenyan champions grew uncertain each passing day, with reports of rebellion in the changing room. His relationship with Gor’s management had also gone out of hand
He led Gor Mahia to two league glories are other domestic title but still had to go months without pay.
In Egypt he’s set to reunite with his McLeish whom they worked together at Rangers FC in Scotland and who is current Head couch in Zamalek
This move is believed to have been brokered by former Harambee Stars Coach Bobby Williamson who brought Nuttall to Gor Mahia and also recommended McLeish to Zamalek.
Why did Coach Nuttall leave Gor Mahia? Could it be club performance issues or he just saw greener pastures and ran after them?
The move comes days after Gor lost to AFC Leopards…
