For the very first time since Marioo asked to be signed by Diamond on the WCB Wasafi label, the artiste’s manager and producer has opened up about what hindered the process.
Speaking in the episode of TheSwitch on the Wasafi FM, the manager Abbah said that the matter of Marioo wanting to be signed by Diamond to fill the gap of Rayvanny who left Next Level Music is something that they did not want to happen as the management.
Abbah said that when the news broke about two months ago, they tried very hard to contain it, including asking Marioo to stop discussing it on the internet and they also talked to Diamond’s leadership about it.
“Kwanza kabisa tulinyamaza kabisa, kutowajibu watu.
Abbah also said that in his leadership, he strongly believes in a person succeeding with his hard work and not being carried on the shoulders by some influential person.
“Sio kitu ambacho tunakiamini kwenye uhangaikaji wetu kabisa.
After the reports claimed that Marioo asked to be signed to Wasafi, the artiste himself came forward and denied, saying that Diamond may have confused himself.
