Disgraced rugby players Alex Olaba and Frank Wanyama are serving 15 year prison sentence for gang raping Wendy Kemunto. The singer has since come out to speak on the rape ordeal.
For starters, Wendy Kemunto was assaulted and abused by the two rugby players on February, 2018. Milimani Chief Magistrate Martha Mutuku on August 16th 2019 found Alex and Frank guilty of gang rape and sentenced them to 15 years in prison.
Wendy has since opened up about her rape ordeal, the singer narrated the incident during an interview with Grace Msalame on NTV show ‘Unscripted with Grace’.
Wendy said that Alex and Frank gang raped her on her birthday February 10th. She said the duo raped her all night long while she was unconscious.
“It was my birthday, 10th of February and the plan was to go out with my friends, have a good time then go back home but unfortunately due to various reasons things didn’t go as I had planned. Unfortunately I was assaulted and abused that night. I didn’t realize what was happening at first because I was unconscious. I was sleeping in and out of unconsciousness,” said Wendy.

Wendy Alex and Frank became very aggressive when she tried fighting them during the rape ordeal, she gave up fighting and just let them do their thing.
“I just let them do what they wanted until they eventually stopped and that’s when I decided to leave,” Wendy painfully recounted.
Wendy believes that the two rugby players drugged her and that is why she was in and out of consciousness during the whole incident.
“I was very okay when I got there, I admit that it was my birthday and we had a few but at the same time I knew I was aware of my surroundings.
Wendy further said that she tried to commit suicide after the rape incident, she bought pills to end her life but luckily they didn’t work.
“I was very scared and I wanted to kill myself, I even tried. I bought a lot of pills because I really wanted to end my life,” said Wendy.
The singer later discovered that she got pregnant from the rape ordeal. She decided to keep the baby but unfortunately she suffered a miscarriage while dealing with stress after news about her rape broke and she started trending on social media.
“At first I did not want to keep the baby but after talking to different parties and women who had been in the same situation I released it was not the child’s fault,” Wendy said.’
Adding that;
“That [trending on social media] affected me very much and in my fifth month I had a miscarriage. The doctors said it was due to stress and the environment I was in.
