Jua Cali’s wife Lilly Asigo has opened up about challenges she faces being married to a popular celebrity. The mother of three revealed that women haven’t stopped hitting on her husband.
Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV where she appeared with Nelius Mukami (nominated senator Isaac Mwaura’s wife) to talk about challenges facing women married to celebrities and other newsmakers, Lilly Asigo stated that she had seen it all being married to Jua Cali.
“I have witnessed it all by the time we got married in 2013. There were women sending him naked pictures and all manner of videos. Some of these were women we all know and I would call them but I decided to pursue my happiness and not go out looking for something bad,” said Lilly Asigo.
Jua Cali’s wife further revealed that she now have access to her husband’s social media accounts just to keep watch of women hitting on him.
“Just because he doesn’t post me every day, it doesn’t mean that there is something wrong with our marriage. I have access to his DMs but he doesn’t have access to mine because he has never asked. When you go to the DMs, you read and weigh them and see if you will answer, leave them or question why a fan is insisting on talking to him,” said Lilly Asigo.
On her part, senator Isaac Mwaura’s wife Nelius Mukami narrated how she had witnessed several women masquerading as innocent electorates seeking her husband’s help, went on to seduce him.
“There is this thing about men, I think they are not able to see when a woman is coming onto them. For example, for him, he is interested in helping people. He will go out of his way to help but there are some cases you will see and just know this person is not seeking for help but carrying out an agenda. For example, a woman from Tharaka Nithi seeking bursary from him and I am like, she has no disability, she has an MP, a Women Rep and so many other alternatives before coming to him,” said Nelius Mukami.
