Weezdom who came in the music industry as Bahati’s protege has decided to stop releasing gospel music going forward thus stopping being a gospel musician.

Weezdom’s last gospel offering dubbed ‘Roba Roba’ received massive backlash on the internet so much so that it was rare to see a positive comment under the Youtube comment section.

Weezdom didn’t exclusively share his main reason for quitting gospel music but what he shared that he is sick and tired of the hate and so much keenness of everybody wanting to pull him down in the gospel music industry.

“I have been getting so many DMs people asking me why I edited my bio,” he said in part on Instagram.

“Soon I’ll be explaining why but for now what I know is that I’m no longer doing gospel music. I am tired of the fight and hatred in the gospel music industry in Kenya. God will give me another occupation where I will have peace.” he added.

Weezdom also iterated that he won’t be throwing Bahati under the bus this time even after fellow gospel artistes keeps on reaching to him to tarnish Bahati’s name. He has pledged his allegiance to Bahati’s record label, EMB Records.

“and you gospel folks stop with the Dm asking me if I have left EMB. I know your concern also isn’t about me leaving gospel music! you are idle wanting to know if I have left EMB so that you start insulting Bahati.”

He also used a hashtag loosely translating to EMB is my home showing his allegiance to Bahati’s EMB Records.
