This is to inform that the National Police Service Headquarters has received copies of letters issued by CORD Secretariat notifying the Police of its intention to hold demonstrations in Nairobi and several other towns on 6th June against the IEBC.
We wish to inform that the notification cannot be honored on account of valid Orders issued by the High Court of Kenya on 29th April,with two further extensions issued on 6th May 2016 barring any demonstrations against IEBC consequently,any violations against the Orders will ne dealt with as required by the law.
Similarly,we wish to caution any other person or persons wishing to stage unauthorized counter-demonstrations that they will be in breach of law, and therefore risk arrest and prosecution before courts of law.
All those concerned are therefore expected to obey the law and act accordingly.
