It’s back to business as usual for comedian Davies Mwabili, popularly known as Inspekta Mwala, even as the family of the man he killed protests the light sentence handed to him.
Weeks ago, Kilifi court found Inspekta Mwala guilty of causing death by dangerous driving and he was given the option of paying a Ksh 30,000 fine or a one year jail sentence.
The court however couldn’t charge Inspekta Mwala for drunk driving because there was ‘no proof’ he was driving under the influence when he caused the accident.
The victim’s family expressed disappointment at what the Rabai Police Station officers recorded in the Occurrence Book (OB), they claimed the officers had been compromised to omit some information [that Inspekta Mwala was drunk when he caused the accident].
On Friday September 27th, Inspekta Mwala raised eyebrows when he rubbed shoulders with Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai, Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti among other top police honchos.
Mwala attended he launch of the National Police service commission joint strategic plan at the Kenya School of Government where Interior cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i was the chief guest.
“After launching 4 years strategic plan for the boys , Kona mbaya well represented 👮, with the big boys @RadioCitizenFM @citizentvkenya,” Inspekta Mwala tweeted.
