A Kenyan car enthusiast Wairimu Gitau alias Betta Gitau has shared her eerie experience while camping.

Via her Twitter for cars updates account; 4Low KE Wairimu says, it’s a true story.

Hold onto your hats becomes this story takes a wild turn.

“As disgusting as it is, it’s true and it happened to me. A dead man was with me for two disgusting nights.

I had bought a new tent and wanted to try it not far from home before I could go use it in faraway places. So I decided to camp on our farm for two nights down near the river. I’d cook using the river water, shower and boil some for drinking. Off-grid living.

On the other side of the river was my neighbor’s sugarcane farm. Uuuurm yeah I’d go visit the sugarcanes late at night when the moon was all beautiful!

Sasa on the second day , as I was crossing the river from the sugarcane farm, I touched something soft in the shallow water. I didn’t bother much. Though the moon was bright I couldn’t see much. In the morning, I felt an urge to check what it was.

This part of the river is never deep. I got there to check and Alas! It was a DEAD MAN,” she shared on Twitter thread in part.

“He was just a few meters from where I fetched my water.

I raised the alarm and people came. Police were involved and the body was retrieved. Remember the bridge I posted earlier? He had fallen off that bridge while drunk! And it was clear he had been there for some days as fish or whatever had started eating his toes!

For two days I had been drinking, cooking, and bathing with water flowing over a dead man! I felt disgusted! If you ever go camping, carry your own drinking/ cooking water,” the car enthusiast completed her narration on the social media platform.
