Wahu Starlet, who is the sister of controversial preacher Pastor Victor Kanyari, was murdered in South B by a man she was meeting for s3x.
CCTV footage showed Kanyari’s sister checked into the Airbnb in South B with 30-year-old John Matara for a night of debauchery on January 3, 2024.
Police who arrived the scene of crime found HIV test kits and used condoms making them conclude Wahu Starlet and John Matara booked the Airbnb for a night of fun.
Wahu’s lifeless body was found in a pool of blood in the room. She was stabbed deep into her thighs, with the knife severing her vein.
Police said Wahu was trying to reach to the door when she succumbed to her stab wounds. She also had signs of strangulation on her neck.
Her lifeless body was taken to City Mortuary for a postmortem.
Matara was later arrested at Mbagathi hospital while receiving treatment. He had stab wounds too.
However, police are trying to establish if Matara’s stab wounds are self-inflicted to mislead the investigations.
The murder suspect is currently being held at Industrial Area Remand Prison as detective seek to get to the bottom of Wahu’s gruesome murder.
