The inspiration behind their catchy and touchy lyrics comes from the tough ghetto environment they grew up in, with some of their peers never getting to see adulthood due to extreme poverty, insecurity, joblessness which in turn leads many young people into crime, drugs and inappropriate sexual behavior.

Their recent release dubbed ‘Urembo ni bonus’ was inspired by the sad reality in our society about how some girls and women are shamed, stigmatized and rejected for the different skin, bodies, and conditions that they have.

Unlike most new and young musical groups/artistes that resort to writing trendy feel-good music in order to easily break the market, they chose something deeper and different – they write about life.

” This song was inspired by the sad reality in our society about how some girls and women are shamed, stigmatized and rejected for the different skin, bodies, and conditions that they have. This truth broke our hearts, to say the least, and we feel very strongly that we have a say in this matter. We feel that it is our responsibility as artists and as people who understand that beauty is not all there is to a woman to enlighten people about this issue. We realize that we need to create awareness about it. Urembo Ni Bonus was produced by an American Music Producer and Singer/songwriter and Composer David Hunter. It was shot by a South Sudanese Film Director Chol Jurkuch and Co-directed by Vijana barubaru. The Executive Director was the Kenyan renowned  DJ and Music activist Peter Chuani best known as DJ Pinye. The record says it all.”
