Vijana Barubaru has released their brand new offering dubbed ‘Eliza’ after rebranding and/or changing their official brand name to V-Be.
The boy band duo which comprises Philip Mutuku alias Tuku Kantu who is the vocalist and Spike Mshairi both from Mathare slums have earned the stripes of being one of the best music act in the country who always strive to pass a powerful message with every record they put out.
The ‘ELIZA’ record tells the familiar story of love that is not reciprocated. It is a song written based on the real-life experiences of V-Be’s Tuku Kantu.
The song tells a story that he has told one too many times about how this girl he once liked chose to ignore the chemistry they had on the basis that he was not as financially capable as she would have liked.
The ‘Eliza’ song has been plucked from their recently released 5-track EP dubbed ‘Proven’.
Watch the official music video for ‘Eliza’ as written by Tuku Kantu and Spike Mshairi as inspired by Kantu’s real-life experiences and performed by V-Be formerly known as Vijana Barubaru. Stream the same record underneath the video:
