Victor Wanyama who plays as a defensive midfielder for Major League Soccer club Montreal Impact and captains the Kenyan national team has taken to social media to state that he is going ahead to sue one Shakilla for false statements about him.
The Montreal Impact forward has come forward to distance himself from the viral video fo one socialite, Shakilla who claimed that she slept with him and later on got paid by the footballer, KShs. 700, 000 as compensation.

Wanyama, through a statement shared online, has said that he doesn’t know Shakilla at all and he’s never ever met her.
“I wish to distance myself completely from the contents of this defamatory video. The allegations made therein are a total fabrication and a figment of the maker’s imagination at it best,” Victor Wanyama said in part.
“I have NEVER met any part in the video. I strongly condemn the actions of both the woman in the video and the publisher of the video Arthur Mandela via his Instagram account @Xtiandela for encouraging the disparagement of the character of individuals based on false accusatory statements,” he added.
The first Kenyan professional footballer to ever play for the English Premier League, Victor Wanyama isn’t impressed with the way Xtian Dela and Shakilla defame his name and character that he has worked so hard to build, and for that, he won’t let that stand.
Wanyama has since instructed his management to sue the aforementioned characters involved in the now-viral video.
“I’m prepared to go to great lengths to protect my good name and character, consequently and with the blessing of my management team, I have instructed my legal team to pursue all legal remedies available to me and to which I have the unreserved right to seek,” the statement said.
This comes after one upcoming socialite, Shakilla shared a live feed with Xtian Dela live on Instagram live saying that she slept with over 15 Kenyan celebrities.
According to Victor Wanyama, “the allegations made are manifestly fictitious clearly meant to boost the online audience of both the maker of the insulting allegations and the publisher of the video.”
She named Khaligraph Jones, Willy Paul, Victor Wanyama, Otile Brown, Ringtone among many others as being the men she’s slept with.
